Yet another history was made in Faculty of Art, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State, when Ogunleye Aanuoluwapo popularly known as “Mercy” emerged the most valuable player in the faculty for the 2017/2018 academic session.
Aanuoluwapo who was formerly the most valuable player in the department of philosophy was able to add more star to his crown.
Speaking with PALITO MEDIA he said “we played 3 matches , the first was a penalty shoot out, the second match was a 3-1 win and we lost the final match ( 2-1 ) because of some defensive error.
I really appreciate my fans out their because without them their won’t be Mercy or any inspiration for me, they are always supporting me in order to achieve my dreams.
A big thanks to my Coach, my sport director CK, and am using this opportunity to assure my fans that this is not where we are going to stop, I was awarded most valuable player for National Association of Philosophy Students [NAPS] last year, went with multiple awards and back to back this year at the faculty level, next will be AAUA best play“.
In his reaction to problems facing sporting activities on campus, the young football star said “I urge the football and sport association, sport director at the SUG level, that they should not stop their hard work because their are lot of Messi,Xavi,Iniesta ,Ronaldo in Adekunle Ajasin University, I also urge the school management to support sport activities on campus financially by approving their budget promptly so that there will be so many talent to be displayed and who knows where we might end our football career”.
