Man Utd Breaks Silence As Pogba Clears Air On Resigning After Macron’s Comments

Manchester United have joined Paul Pogba, in condemning misleading “fake news” reports around the midfielder, claiming that the 27-year-old has quit the France national team, following comments from France’s President, Emmanuel Macron, alleging that Islam was the source of international terrorism.

Recalls that Pogba had debunked the news that he has quit the France national team.

Pogba labelled the story as “unacceptable fake news”.

The former Juventus star also said that he would be taking legal action.

Reacting, Man United in a statement via its website on Monday, backed Pogba’s decision and said that the French player is committed to playing for his country.

The statement read, “Paul supports respect for his own religion and all religions, and is against any form of violence.

“These stories are totally unfounded. Paul is fully committed to playing for his country.”
