Nigeria Records 290 New Cases Of COVID-19

Nigeria recorded 290 new cases of the novel COVID-19 which took the total infection case in the country to 46,867, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said on Monday.

Nigeria recorded 437 cases on Sunday, but it reduced to 290 on Monday. The death rate also increased from 945 to 950.

According to the health agency, Lagos state recorded the joint highest number with 82 new cases compared to yesterday’s 107 numbers of cases which shows the numbers reduced drastically yet again.

Plateau state also recorded the 82 new cases as Oyo state recorded 19 new cases.

Here is the breakdown of the number of new cases of COVID-19 recorded today as stated by NCDC on their official Twitter page.

“290 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria; Lagos-82 Plateau-82 Oyo-19 FCT-18 Edo-16 Kaduna-15 Enugu-9 Ogun-9 Kano-8 Kwara-8 Cross River-5 Ondo-5 Rivers-5 Ekiti-4 Imo-3 Borno-2 46,867 confirmed 33,346 discharged 950 deaths.”
