Photos released by the Nigerian Air Force via their official Facebook handle has revealed the type of vehicle and the spot the accident occurred.

On Friday, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officially handed over to the Nigeria Police the 3 suspects who were involved in the death of late Flying Officer, Tolulope Arotile, and also handed over over the vehicle used by the suspects which knocked down the late officer.

The vehicle, a KIA Seranto SUV is marked with registration number AZ 478 MKA (Kaduna) was reportedly driven by Mr Nehemiah Adejoh while the two other suspects Mr Igbekele Folorunsho and Mr Festus Gbayegun were on it as passengers.

A closer look at the picture of the vehicle shows that it is damaged a little at the back.

Police officers who were at the NAF Base to take over suspects were also pictured at the exact spot where the accident happened taking notes along the suspects.

One Traffic Police officer was particularly drawing marks at the scene of the accident.

At the handing over of the suspects, at the NAF Base Kaduna, the Commander 453 Base Services Group (453 BSG), Group Captain Hadi Ahmed, recalled that on 14 July, 2020 at about 4.30pm the vehicle driven by Mr Adejoh knocked down, Flying Officer Tolulope Arotile when she was walking along Air Marshal Ibrahim Alfa Road in the NAF Base Kaduna, leading to her eventual death.

The three suspects involved in the accident were former schoolmates of the late Flying Officer at the Air Force Secondary School Kaduna.

They were said to be on their way to visit the wife of a serving senior officer residing in the Base before the accident occurred.

The Airforce Commander stated that the NAF would continue to cooperate with the Nigeria Police and provide all necessary support to enable it prosecute the matter to its logical conclusion. 

Following the handing over of the suspects, the Nigeria Police is expected to carry out further investigation and possible prosecution in line with extant laws.
