Sport pundit, Stan Collymore, has said Romelu Lukaku is more important this season to Chelsea, than Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United.
Both players returned to the Premier League this summer.
Lukaku cost the Blues £97million-plus, while Ronaldo returned to Old Trafford for a fee less than £20m.
Collymore, writing in his UK Mirror column, said: “If Chelsea were to lose Lukaku for 10 games it would massively impact on any title tilt, even their bid for a top-four finish.
“While United have Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Bruno Fernandes to turn to for the goals which would get them through such a spell if Ronaldo were to be ruled out.
“At 36, you would hope as well that this season is less about Ronaldo than it has been for his teams in years gone by.”
