Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, is ready to forego almost £7million the club still owes him to leave on a free, reports the Athletic.
Ozil remains in talks with the Gunners regarding his inevitable exit this month.
The 32-year-old is also negotiating with Fenerbahce and DC United over a move.
Ozil was omitted from Mikel Arteta’s Premier League and Europa League squads for the first half of the season.
It is understood that the German was not informed about the decision until shortly before the last transfer window shut on October 5.
By that time, there was little time for a departure to be arranged.
If he were to move in January, it would be to the Turkish club, with a move to MLS potentially coming in the summer should that be his best option.
