Love is like a drug, and functions nearly the same way a drug does. When you fall in love, your body releases the feel good hormone, making you look like you are high. You will notice this in a couple out and about town, so immersed in each, behaving in a funny way. they are addicted to each other.

The reason for this is that your body releases oxytocin and cortisol hormones at the same time. Oxytocin is responsible for the feel-good situation while cortisol is responsible for stress. The hormone mix-up creates the butterflies in the stomach feeling.
