NYSC Releases Date For 2019 Batch B Stream II Pop

This is to inform the National Youth Service Corps 2019 Batch B stream II Corps members that the Director General in person of Brigadier Shaibu Ibrahim of the Scheme has approved Thursday,16th July, 2020 as the date for the passing out from the National Service.

This is evident from the memo released on 11th June, 2020, consequently addressed to all Directors, Area Directors, Acting Directors, Head of Reforms Unit, State/FCT Coordinators, Deputy Assistant Directors and All NYSC Staff which stated as follows;

“I write to inform you that the Director General has approved Thursday, 16th July, 2020 as the date for the passing out of the 2019 batch B Stream II Corps members from the National Service.”

Also in the memo, measures are put in place to adhere strictly to physical/social distancing caused by the pandemic, COVID-19 as similar to the instructions adhered to during the erstwhile passing out of the 2019 batch b stream I Corps Members on 28th May, 2020. As stated in the memo,

“2.Given the obtaining situation of COVID-19, the required protocol of prevention and control, including physical distancing should be strictly adhered to.”

The memo also states the instructions given to all state coordinators and does not exclude FCT coordinator on the modalities of the distribution of the National Certificates to all passing out Corps Members.

As indicated in the memo, they should create an enabling environment that has open spaces for distribution of the National certificates by having ten (10) service points.

The distribution of the National Service certificates should at the first instance be staggered for ten (10) days in compliance with physical distancing.

Each distribution service point should not have more than thirty (30) corps members with three to five NYSC Staff supervision.

All state coordinators are enjoined to require the support of security official for adherence and hitch free certificate distribution.
