The spokesperson of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Joseph Attah, has reacted to the demand of nine million naira by one Zubairu Dalhatu Malamai, the former lover of Hammed Alli’s new wife.
It was earlier Reported that the Controller General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Hameed Ali got married to Zainab Abdullahi over the weekend.
Mr Malamai has demanded payment of nine million naira he spent during his relationship with Ms Abdullahi.
In a letter dated May 22, which was obtained by Newsmen, his lawyer, Wangida Isa accused Ms Abdullahi of breach of trust and deceit, listing the expenses they want repaid.
“Our brief as disclosed to us is that for over three years you have been in a relationship with our client where he has invested so much in your life, future and business when you consistently promised to marry him, even though you knew deep down in your heart you were deceiving our client but you allowed him for all these years to continuously spent money and resources on you while he was in the believe that he was doing that to his future wife.”
“Be that as it may, we have our client’s brief that you have decided to pick another man for yourself as husband and while our client congratulate you in your new home, we have our client instructions to also disclose his displeasure over your reaction few days before your new marriage by taking an unnecessary fight with him thereby insulting him and calling him all kind of names and your claims that he calculate all you have collected from him both as loans, avestments and trips ticket so you can pay him as you are no longer in his life affairs,” the letter read in parts.
The nine million was however to repay international travels tickets, loans, clothing materials, gadgets and other items given to Ms Abdullahi.
“The sum of N 277820748 Two Million seven hundred and seventy eight thousand, two hundred and seven Naira forty Eight Kobo) only same been the sum UAE on 17th for travels tickets for KSA on 20 March to 5 April, 2018, Feb. to 27th Feb. 2019, PRC April, 2019,UAE on 13 June to 19th June, 2019, UAE on 5th July to 10 July, 2019, UAE on 31″ September to 13th October, 2019, UK on 18th January to 23rd January 2020, UAE on 24th and January to 25th January 2020,” the lawyer listed as one of the demands.
Mr Malamai however threatened to take legal actions against the new bride of the demands are not met.
“We HEREBY DEMAND FROM YOU THE IMMEDIATE PAYMENT OF THE SUM OF N 908120745 NINE MILLION EIGHTY ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND SEVEN NAIRA FORTY FIVE KOBO) only failure to heed to same shall leave us with her option than to proceed with legal action to recover the said sum.”
NCS confirms letter
The NCS’s spokesperson has confirmed seeing the letter from Mr Malamai.
Mr Attah who spoke with Newsmen on Monday, said that he saw the letter like every other person.
I’m just seeing it as you are seeing it now. As a matter of fact, I saw it while I was at a meeting.
When asked for the reactions of the Mr Alli on the matter, the spokesperson said he was yet to discuss the matter with his boss and cannot issue any statement now.
“I have not been able to discuss anything with him. At this moment, I don’t have anything to say yet. I will speak with him first,” he added.
